As hard as it was to say goodbye to the Class of 2026, we are certainly ready to welcome the Class of 2027 with our annual ring ceremony this Monday at 6 pm (in the gym).
This is the night where the new leaders of Kaplan High not only celebrate their academic journey, but also become the FIRST to hear the new school theme for next year.
It will be a moment you DON'T want to miss!
What. Could. It. Be???

This week at Kaplan High School, we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week through our “Unstoppable Eras.”
Each day, we honored different groups of teachers and the unique stage of their journey at KHS, from our teachers in their Debut Era who are just beginning to write their story, to our Fearless Era teachers growing with confidence, to our Reputation Era teachers whose impact has been felt across this campus for years, and finally to our Folklore Era teachers whose legacy has become part of the very foundation of Kaplan High School.
This theme was about more than years of service. It was about recognizing the heart, passion, sacrifice, and commitment our teachers pour into students every single day. Great schools are built by great people, and we are beyond grateful for the educators who continue to make KHS such a special place.
A very special thank you goes to KHS Softball, Student Council, Mrs. Lisa Stelly, and Mrs. Katelyn Baras for the incredible luncheons and acts of kindness shown to our faculty throughout the week. Your generosity and thoughtfulness helped make our teachers feel celebrated and appreciated in a truly meaningful way.
To all of our teachers, thank you for the countless lives you touch, the standards you uphold, and the love you give to this school community. Kaplan High School is stronger because of you. 🏴☠️

Teacher Appreciation Week Day 3 at KHS: "Black and Gold, dressed up, sharp, and elevated" was the theme, and Kaplan High School showed up in a BIG way. Nearly 100% participation is something to celebrate, but a few of our faculty and staff took school spirit to the next level. They did not just wear black and gold, they elevated it. That Pirate pride is what makes KHS truly Unstoppable. 🏴☠️💛🖤

See you there at 6:30 tonight!

Today, we proudly celebrate two incredible women who are the heartbeat of care on our campus, Amy Briolo and Alix Trahan, for National School Nurses Day.
These two do far more than treat bumps and bruises. They bring calm to chaos, compassion to every situation, and a steady presence that our students and staff rely on daily. Whether it’s handling emergencies, offering a reassuring word, or simply being someone students trust, they show up with heart every single time.
Their impact reaches far beyond the walls of the nurse’s office. They help create a safe, supportive environment where our students can focus on learning, growing, and being UNSTOPPABLE.
We are grateful for their dedication, their kindness, and the care they pour into our Pirate family.
Thank you, Amy and Alix, for everything you do for Kaplan High School. 🏴☠️

What a beautiful way to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week at Kaplan High School! Our Unstoppable Eras Bloom Bar was a huge hit, and our teachers absolutely loved it. Each faculty and staff member had the chance to pick a bloom and build their own bouquet, creating a special arrangement to brighten their day, just like they brighten the lives of our students each and every day.
It was a simple, meaningful reminder that the care, dedication, and love our teachers pour into KHS never goes unnoticed. Seeing smiles, creativity, and beautiful bouquets fill the room made for the perfect start to a week of celebrating the incredible educators who help our school bloom.
A very special thank you to Kaplan Flower Market for helping make this event so beautiful. Your generosity and support helped us make our teachers feel truly appreciated.
Here’s to our Unstoppable teachers, rooted in excellence, growing minds, and making a difference every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say. 🏴☠️

This week at Kaplan High School, we are proud to kick off something truly special…
The UNSTOPPABLE ERA’S TOUR.
Every teacher is in an era. Every era tells a story. And at KHS, those stories are what make us who we are.
We celebrate our teachers in their Debut Era, stepping into the classroom, building relationships, and laying the foundation for a career that will impact lives for years to come.
We honor those in their Fearless Era, the ones who take risks, try new strategies, and push students beyond what they thought was possible.
We recognize the strength of our Reputation Era, teachers who have built trust, consistency, and a standard of excellence that defines what it means to be a Pirate.
And we admire the heart behind our Folklore Era, the educators whose stories, wisdom, and quiet impact are woven into the fabric of our school, leaving a lasting mark on every student they reach.
This week is about more than appreciation. It is about recognizing the journey, the growth, and the impact happening in every classroom, every single day.
Because when you put all of these eras together, you get something powerful. You get a school culture that refuses to stand still.
You get a school that is truly UNSTOPPABLE.
Let the tour begin. 🏴☠️

Reminder, TOMORROW night is our annual Athletic Awards Event in the gym. It begins at 6:00 pm. See you all there to celebrate the amazing athletic achievements of our students and coaches.

What a night for our Lady Pirates.
Under a sky that felt just right and in front of a crowd that believed every second of the way, our girls stepped onto that field with one word on their minds… redemption. And they did not just say it, they lived it.
Final score: Lady Pirates 8, French Settlement 5.
This was not just a win. This was grit. This was composure. This was a team that refused to let the moment get bigger than them. Every swing, every pitch, every defensive stand carried purpose. When the pressure came, they answered. When the game tightened, they locked in. When it mattered most, they delivered.
You could feel it from the first inning. The energy, the focus, the unity. This team plays for each other, for this school, and for this community. And last night, they showed exactly what that means.
We are one step closer.
FINAL stop: Tomorrow afternoon in Sulphur. First pitch tomorrow at 3:00 PM. Let’s pack the stands and bring that Pirate energy with us.
This team is not done.
