The GHS Band hosted their annual Christmas concert tonight. Shout out to both the 6-7th grade band and to the Advanced 8-12th grade band for an awesome performance, and thanks to all those who attended! We appreciate your support!

The GHS Band's annual Christmas Concert begins tonight at 6:00pm in the gym. Everyone is invited and admission is FREE, but for those that are able, we'd appreciate the donation of a non-perishable food item on your way in.
This year's program will be DIGITAL! QR Codes will be posted throughout the gym so that you can pull it up by scanning with your phone's camera. School Tool Box recently presented YOUR round-up dollars to Shriners Hospital for Children. Thanks to the generosity of the parents and families that rounded-up their School Tool Box purchase to the nearest dollar, we were able to donate over $25,000 to Shriners Childrens! At Shriners, where their motto is "Love to the Rescue", they deliver life-changing medical care to children around the world - regardless of their ability to pay. ❣️

Overnight rains in some areas have exceeded the projections we were given. Rainfall amounts are different in each part of our parish.
Schools are OPEN. If you are in one of the low lying areas and need to adjust times until you can evaluate roads to travel we will excuse late arrivals.
Bus routes may be a few minutes later than normal and some may have to alter routes in some areas. Again, we will use common sense when excusing lateness or absences because of flooding issues.
Thank you for your understanding and for making any adjustments thst may need to be made. This is one of those weather events that has different effects on different parts of the parish and doesnt have a one size fits all solution. Sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
Superintendent Tommy Byler.
