How many years have you been teaching and how many years have you worked at Kaplan High School?
This is my 13th year teaching and they have all been at KHS.
What Grade levels and subjects do you teach?
I teach sophomores and juniors. I teach Biology and Chemistry.
If you had to pick another subject to teach, what would it be?
I would love to teach Biology II.
What do you love about teaching at KHS?
KHS is home for me. I love our kids and our faculty members.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?
I love spending time with my family. We love to go camping.
What is something people would never guess about you?
I am a homebody. I could sit at home any day and just watch my kids play outside!
What inspired you to become a teacher?
I started coaching here whenever I was still in college and it allowed me to see how much I enjoyed working with our students.
Did you graduate from Kaplan High School, if not where did you go to high school?
I graduated from KHS in 2008.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?
I could rewatch One Tree Hill any day!
Are you involved in any extracurricular clubs or sports at KHS, if so, what are they?
I am not currently involved in any extracurricular clubs, I help with PBIS when needed.
