What is your favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is hands down my students and the two ladies that I am blessed to have in my class with us!
How many years have you been working at Kaplan High? This is my 5th year at Kaplan High School.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of school? I love to take trips with my husband and our 3 boys.
What is something people would never guess about you? I once ran a half marathon.
What inspired you to become a teacher? I have always loved kids and planned to own a daycare. After having my 2 oldest boys, I wanted to have more time with them and teaching was the best option. I went back to college to finish my degree and I wouldn't change a thing now!
Did you graduate from Kaplan high school? No, I graduated from North Vermilion.
What is your favorite TV show? Friends.
What Grade levels and subjects do you teach? I teach 9-12 Self-Contained Special Education.
If you had to pick another subject to teach, what would it be? Adapted PE or Family and Consumer Sciences.
What are your favorite hobbies? I love shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with my family and friends.
What do you love about teaching at KHS? I love the people that I work with. It really feels like a big family here and it is a good feeling coming to work everyday surrounded by family.
Are you involved in any extracurricular clubs or sports at KHS? I am a co-sponsor of the FCA club!
