Today we celebrate an extraordinary educator, mentor, and friend—Mrs. Cynthia Broussard. With an incredible 33-year career in education, Mrs. Cynthia has made a lasting impact on countless young lives.

Her journey began with 2 years at Dolby Elementary in Lake Charles, followed by 1 year at Henry Elementary. For the past 30 years, she has been a cornerstone of Kaplan Elementary School, where she taught third grade with unmatched passion and commitment. In fact, 32 of her 33 years were spent shaping the minds of third graders—truly making her the heart of third grade at KES.

Mrs. Cynthia is more than a teacher; she is a leader in our school community, a guiding mentor to fellow educators, and a beloved friend to many. Her presence, wisdom, and warmth will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in every student she inspired.

Thank you, Mrs. Cynthia, for 33 incredible years. Enjoy your well-earned retirement!
