
Happy Groundhog Day! Today Mrs. Blaize’s first graders learned all about Phil, and he says that we will have 6 more weeks of winter!❄️



Mrs. Carly’s class had the opportunity to view a real geologist’s fossil collection. Some fossils dated back to almost half a BILLION years old! Students are learning about how fossils can be great clues into learning what environments were like in the past.





Mrs. Nicole’s second graders are having fun searching for different parts of speech in their readers, just like detectives!

The CPE Beta Robotics Team (Team Scorpion) met to discuss their search, rescue, and retrieve plan for the showcase on Tuesday, February 7. After hearing their plan, we can’t wait to see it all come together! Great job, boys!


Ms. Sarah’s fifth graders built 3-D Jamestown models in order to better understand the physical geography which led colonists to settle there.

Mrs. Kristin’s water resource engineers planned and constructed a freshwater collection system today. We’ll see the results on Monday!





While learning about how different animals use their camouflage, students in Mrs. Blaize’s class had the chance to create their very own moths to hide around our classroom.
